One of the most interesting touristic activity in Nechsar National park is the boat trip on Chamo Lake. After boat ride of one and half hours on the lake, you can see the number of crocodiles and hippos at the lakeside which earlier said to be crocodile market.The crocs are largely concentrated at the Kulefo River entrance shoreline of Lake Chamo and island of Ganjulie within 5-7 km away from Chamo Leto Boat port.
As they are cold blood amphibians, several crocodiles take sunbath for digestion and open their mouth to regulate the sun heat. Simultaneously toothpick birds pick out piece of meats from the crocodile’s teeth which is called biological associations. Besides this, the number of Pelican birds and huge Hippos in the area makes it very fascinating and enjoyable.
